Host live sessions

NewRich allows creators to host livestreams in two ways: Free Livestreams and Paid Livestreams.

Both options let you connect with your audience in real time—whether you're teaching a lesson, hosting a Q&A, sharing live updates, or building a stronger community.

This guide explains the differences between each livestream type and walks you through the complete creation process.

1. Free Livestreams

Free Livestreams are the quickest way to go live on NewRich.

They're ideal for community hangouts, introductory lessons, announcements, and any other live session that you'd like to make available to everyone.

Where to Start

To create a Free Livestream:

  • Go to your Profile.
  • Click New Post.
  • Select Livestream.

A simplified livestream setup window will open, allowing you to configure your broadcast and start streaming.

2. Paid Livestreams

Paid Livestreams are created using the Product Creation flow because they are monetized content.

This allows you to sell access to a livestream as a one-time purchase, include it in a subscription, or offer both options to your audience.

Where to Start

To create a Paid Livestream:

  • Go to your Profile.
  • Click New Post.
  • Select Product.

You'll be guided through the Product Creation flow.

Step 1 — Choose Livestream as the Product Type

When the Product Creator opens, select Livestream from the list of available product types.

The form will automatically update to display all fields required for creating a livestream.

Step 2 — Enter General Information

Provide the basic information about your livestream.

You'll be asked to complete:

  • Title
  • Category
  • Description
  • Tags
  • Cover Image

Just like with Free Livestreams, you'll also see a live camera preview so you can verify your setup before publishing.

Step 3 — Configure Pricing

Next, choose where your livestream will be published and how viewers can access it.

First, select the Subfeed where the livestream will appear.

Then choose one of the available access options:

  • One-time purchase – Viewers pay once for permanent access to the livestream.
  • Included in subscription – Subscribers can watch the livestream as part of their membership.
  • Both options – Allow viewers to either purchase the livestream individually or access it through a subscription.

You can also enable an optional promotional discount for one-time purchases.

Step 4 — Configure Advanced Settings

Before publishing your livestream, you can customize several additional options.

Available settings include:

  • Turn Off Commenting - Disable comments during the livestream.
  • Viewer Notifications - Send email notifications to viewers before the livestream begins.
  • Schedule Start Date & Time - Schedule your livestream to begin automatically at a specific date and time.

Step 5 — Publish

When you're ready, click Publish. Depending on your settings, your livestream will either begin immediately or be scheduled for the future.

Livestream Hosting View

The hosting interface is the same for both Free and Paid Livestreams.

Once your livestream starts, you'll be taken to the Creator Hosting View, where you can manage every aspect of your broadcast.

Available tools include:

  • Full camera
  • Audio, camera, microphone, and speaker controls
  • Live reactions
  • Livestream settings
  • Real-time chat
  • Viewer list with moderation controls
  • Pinning important comments
  • Inviting viewers to speak
  • Ending the livestream

Your audience can watch the livestream in real time from any supported device while interacting through live chat and reactions.

The Hosting View provides everything you need to run professional live sessions and engage with your audience throughout the broadcast.
